You may not all know that we (Nicola and Ruairi) actually met in April 2012 on the other side of the world in Melbourne, Australia.
Two young, starry eyed travellers, one from the North of England, one from the South, who happened to be staying in the same, not so salubrious hostel. Lets just say, a spark was struck…
Ruairi had been living in Melbourne for almost a year and his time there was coming to an end. Nic was passing through on her travels, right at the very start of her 6 month gap year. We hit it off instantly, but 10 days after meeting Nic left Melbourne on a flight to Fiji and our brief encounter drew to a close.
4.5 years later and with a pinch more life experience under our belts, we met up in London where Nicola was living at the time. Ruairi spent the next months driving south every single weekend, until 6months in he took the leap and made the permanent move to the sunny south. That was 5 years ago now, and the rest,
as they say, is history…
